Movies To Love For, Beastly!!

Hello out there in blogging la-la world!

Its that time of the week again, yep you guessed it! my weekly segment, Movies to Love For!
This week my choice is Beastly! I saw it over the weekend with my Mum and sister
at the dollar theater  (ha ha) and i loved it! I think it tugged on my childhood heartstrings with my undying love for the Disney version of Beauty and The Beast.

So no description of the movie is really necessary since I'm sure that close to everyone has seen the Disney version with the talking Teapot and Candle stick ha ha.

Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer are the stars of this flick but, they aren't the only known faces.  Mary-Kate Olsen plays the Witch that puts the handsome jerk through all of the chaos and she does a great job i must add. Also, Neil Patrick Harris does an amazing job! he plays Kyles blind tutor and he his so adorable!!!

My favorite scene of the whole movie has got to be when Kyle(the beast) tries to win Lindy's affection by buying her a ton of really expensive and extravagant things that she doesn't want.  Very much like in the Disney movie he knocks at her door and she wont come out.  Finally he figures out that he has to give her things that she would personally love so he buys her a big box of Jujubes that she accepts.
I also LOVE that he writes her this amazingly long letter.  After he was turned into Beastly he runs into her at a Halloween party, she doesn't recognize him of course and she tells him how its a sad thing that long love letters aren't custom anymore.  Once she moves into his place he starts to write her a letter and adds onto it every night.  Its so romantic, the mushy side of me loves it!

I think they do a really creative job at making him look "beastly" but at the same time i feel like hes still pretty hot lol, am i the only one? i don't know, there is just something about his sulking that i find appealing.
Watching the romance build between the two is so sweet, you cant help but let out long sighs of hope while watching them just be around each other.

If you enjoy a good love story then i highly recommend this film, it reminds us that there still is some romance out there, we just have to be patient and open-minded/hearted to find it.

with loving sighs of hope,
Penny Lane
